World Veterinary Day celebrated in Leh
Leh, Apr 27, 2024: The Department of Animal Husbandry, Leh commemorated World Veterinary Day today on April 27.
The theme for this year, ‘Veterinarians Are Essential Health Workers’ highlighted the multifaceted contributions of veterinary professionals that extend far beyond traditional animal care.
Director, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries (ASH&F), Dr Mohd Iqbal emphasized the pivotal role of veterinarians in ensuring the health and welfare of both animals and humans.
Joint Director, Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ismail, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), Leh, Dr. Stanzin Rabgais, Deputy Director, Dr. Musa and other officers of the department were present at the occasion.
Retired officers of the department including Dr Ishey Namgyal and Dr Abdul Qayum were also present at the occasion.
