District Adm launches activities under ‘Good Governance Week’ across Ramban, focus on PSGA, disposal of online grievances

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 19: District Administration Ramban, under the aegis of District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today started a series of activities to mark ‘Good Governance’ week under ‘Prashasan Gaon ki Aur’ campaign across the district as per guidelines issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance (DARPG) GOI.

The main focus on the first day of the ‘Good Governance’ week was on Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) under which the line departments disposed of more than 150 applications.

The line departments also resolved public issues registered on IGRAM Portal, besides providing online services of their respective departments to promote e-governance in the district.

The activities taken up by the district administration on the first day of the Good Governance Week’ organized special events at Tehsil Headquarters and Panchayat Samitis; redressed pending public grievances on IGRAM; updation of Citizen Charters; Disposal of applications under Improving Service Delivery;   Good Governance practices and success stories of different sectors on the resolution of public grievances on the portal.

The Revenue department sensitized the public about online services for viewing their land records and other revenue documents. 

Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry organized special camps in different areas to sensitize the general public about various schemes and resolve public issues. 

The Cooperative Department conducted training cum awareness camp for the members of cooperatives at Sujamtana in block Ukhral. Similarly, the Motor Vehicle Department sensitized the transporters and driver about its online services and the procedures to the same on the MVD portal. 

Earlier, the Municipal Council Ramban, MC Batote and Banihal also launched massive cleanliness drives in the respective towns.   The drive by MCs will continue during Good Governance Week.
