Doctor Aapke Dwar: Free Medical Camp hosted at NTPHC Sohal Paddar

KISHTWAR, MAY 9: To alleviate the burden of healthcare expenses on the marginalized sections of society and contribute towards the overall well-being and health outcomes of the community, a free medical camp was organized by Block Medical Officer Paddar at NTPHC Sohal Paddar.

The medical camp witnessed the participation of senior consultants from District Hospital Kishtwar, including Dr. Javed Giri, Consultant Pediatrics, and Dr. Shabnam Laila, Consultant Gynecology, along with other doctors specialized in surgery, medicine, dentistry, and ophthalmology.
The medical team examined and screened 150 patients for various ailments, ensuring timely intervention and care.

To address the growing concern of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), a separate counter was set up at the venue to screen patients for diabetes and hypertension, providing essential preventive healthcare services to the community.

In addition to consultations, several laboratory tests were conducted onsite to facilitate prompt diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, sputum samples were collected for tuberculosis screening, emphasizing the camp’s comprehensive approach towards public health.

The successful organization of this free medical camp underscores the commitment of the district administration and healthcare professionals towards providing accessible and quality healthcare services to the residents of Paddar and surrounding areas.
