DDC Kishtwar reviews progress under District Capex 2023-24

Sets March 12 as deadline for clearing all pending bills

KISHTWAR, MARCH 07: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today conducted a comprehensive Sector wise review meeting to assess the physical and financial status of projects taken under the District Capex Plan 2023-24.

The meeting, held in the Conference Hall to provide insights into various sectors such as R&B, Jal Sakhti, Education, Health, and Youth Sports etc.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key officials including the ADDC Kishtwar Ghulam Rasool, Chief Planning Officer Shahnawaz Bali, ACD Phulail Singh, DPO Tariq Sarwardi, DYSSO Jaffar H Sheikh, BDOs, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Sakhti, CEO and other stakeholders.

The sessions scrutinised the funds released and expenditures incurred across different sectors.

The DDC emphasised the critical need for timely project completion to ensure efficient fund utilization and overall district development.

Concerned executing officers were directed to expedite ongoing projects while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.

The Chief Planning Officer revealed that out of the total 1916 works taken up  under the District Capex 2023-24, 1586 have been successfully Completed , with the remaining projects currently in progress. Furthermore, it was highlighted that 72 percent of the released budget for the year 2023-24 has been utilized to date with the 83 percent accomplishment in physical targets.

The executing departments were impressed to commensurate the financial expenditure with the physical achievement so far besides 12th March was set as deadline for clearing all pending bills positively.

The chair underscored the significance of close monitoring and coordination among departments to overcome any bottlenecks and ensure seamless project progress.

Meanwhile, ADDC urged officers to provide regular updates and promptly address any issues to prevent delays, emphasizing the importance of efficient implementation for the benefit of the district’s residents.
