6 gamblers arrested in Pattan, Baramulla; stake money and cards seized

In a crackdown on illegal gambling activities, the Baramulla police apprehended six individuals in Shalbooni Pattan. Acting on a tip-off, a police party swiftly conducted a raid on the location to disrupt the illicit operation.

The raid resulted in the arrest of six people and the confiscation of playing cards and ₹8700 in stake money. The arrested individuals have been identified as Abdul Majeed Rather, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, Abdul Majeed Lone, Ghulam Ahmad Ganie, Habibullah Khanday, and Nazir Ahmad Bhat, all residents of Baramulla district.

Following the arrests, a case has been registered at PS Pattan under relevant sections of the law.

An investigation into the gambling activity is underway.
