SVEEP program held at Govt. HSS Jakhed Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 26: A programme on SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) was held today at Govt. Higher Secondary School (HSS), Jakhed, Dudu here in which more than 600 persons participated.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Dudu, Dr. Manmeet Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, thee SDM highlighted the importance of participation in democracy through voting and also encouraged the people to actively participate in upcoming elections.

Nodal Officer of the programme, Ishwar Das while welcoming the participants,  appealed people to cast their vote in upcoming Parliamentary elections.

During the event, the SDM also flagged off a mega rally on SVEEP. Moreover, students presented various skits on the importance of SVEEP. Through skit programmes, the students also encouraged the divyang persons and their family members on the importance of casting the vote.

Asha Workers, Anganwadi Workers, staff of different schools, police personnel, media, students and locals at large participated in the programme.
