Successful Vaccination and Health Screening for Leh District Haj Pilgrims

Leh, 27 April :  A significant milestone was achieved in ensuring the safety and well-being of leh district pilgrims undertaking the Haj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Under the vigilant supervision of the  State Immunization Officer,Ladakh, Dr. Iqbal Ahmad; DY CMO Leh/i/c DIO Skarma P.Yontan and Medical officer, Leh, Dr. Chhimet Angmo; beneficiaries from Leh Town, Phyang, and Choglamsar received essential vaccinations at CMO office Leh.


In line with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s commitment to the health and safety of pilgrims, beneficiaries were administered with the required vaccines, ensuring their protection during the pilgrimage.

Furthermore, as directed by the Ministry, meticulous efforts were made to record all medical screening and fitness certificates of selected pilgrims in an online platform, following the established protocol. Additionally, Health Cards for Haj Pilgrims 2024 were procured and distributed to facilitate seamless access to medical records.

Simultaneously, beneficiaries from Shey, Thiksey, Chuchot, and Nubra are also receiving the vaccinations at their respective centers, ensuring comprehensive coverage for all pilgrims in the region.
