Road Safety Month: ARTO Baramulla promotes Safe Driving with Awareness Campaigns

BARAMULLA, JANUARY 18: The Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Baramulla today organized a Signature campaign during the awareness programme.

The campaign was part of the impactful awareness programs organized throughout the district. These programs aim to educate the public and drivers on the importance of safe driving and adherence to traffic rules.

Participants in driving license trials pledged to follow traffic safety regulations while driving. This campaign serves as a reminder for everyone to prioritize road safety.

The Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Muazzam Ali, highlighted the significance of traffic rules and called on all stakeholders to take responsibility for better traffic management and road safety.

Recognizing that changing driving behavior takes time, Ali emphasized the importance of education in facilitating this transformation.

Another important aspect of the campaign was raising awareness about the risks of using agents to obtain licenses.

By spreading information about the correct procedures, ARTO aimed to ensure that individuals are well-informed and not exploited by fraudulent practices.

The campaign also focuses on discouraging mobile phone usage while driving, addressing the dangers of drinking and driving, overloading, and over speeding.

By targeting these issues, the ARTO Office Baramulla seeks to create a culture of responsible driving within the community.
