Religious pilgrimages promote societal, national harmony: Dr. Manyal

JAMMU, July 27: Religious pilgrimages promote societal, national harmony among various regions and religions, stated Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, J&K BJP General Secretary & former Minister.

Dr. Manyal, along with other leaders of the party who served ‘Langar’ to the Shree Amarnath Ji Yatris in the premises of Purani Mandi Ram Mandir in the presence of Maha Mandleshwar Shree Rameshwar Das ji Maharaj.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that every year during the entire Yatra period of Shree Amarnath ji, Langar is organized in this ancient temple and thousands of the devotees are provided meals, with majority of them from the Sadhu Samaaj. He said that it is a great service and one should feel blessed to have an opportunity to contribute in the daily Langar.

“Religious pilgrimages promote societal, national harmony among various regions and religions”, Dr. Manyal said and added that the Holy Yatra to Shree Amarnath ji Shrine promotes local business as well as provides employment to a large number of people enroute Yatra. He also said that this pilgrimages also provides a platform for cultural exchange and strengthening the social bonds.

Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra, on this occasion said that organizing free Langar for the pilgrims is one of the major social service and everyone should come forward to contribute in organizing them.

JMC Councillor Sanjay Baru expressed their gratitude to Mahant Shree Rameshwar Dass ji for giving them opportunity to come and serve the pilgrims.

J&K BJP Vice-President Anuradha Charak, Mahila Morcha National Executive Member & Prabhari Punjab Updesh Andotra, Indu Puri, Kuldeep Kandhari and others also joined Dr. Manyal in serving the Langar.
