Reasi police seize 3 vehicles in crackdown on illegal mining

Reasi Police have seized three dumpers in a drive against illegal mining in the district. The crackdown aims to stop criminals from exploiting public resources.

During random checks at various locations, police teams found the three dumpers (JK11F 9370, JK11E 3215, and JK11F 3771) loaded with crusher sand.

Upon inspection of the mining permits, authorities discovered that the permits were issued for block number 23 and not for a stone crusher, indicating illegality. Consequently, the police seized all three vehicles.

The Mining Officer has been informed for further legal action. SSP Reasi affirmed the police’s commitment to safeguarding public property and eliminating the threat of illegal mining in the area.
