Police apprehend bootlegger with large haul of illicit liquor in Kastigarh, Doda

Doda Police seized a significant amount of illicit liquor and arrested a suspected bootlegger during a routine vehicle check in the Kastigarh area on Thursday, March 28th, 2024.

According to reports, a naka (check post) team from the Kastigarh Police Post stopped a Tata Mobile (registration number JK06B-3176) at the main market for inspection. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered a large quantity of illegal liquor hidden inside.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Mukhtiyar Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Kastigarh Doda, was apprehended. A case (FIR No. 65/2024) has been registered at Doda Police Station under relevant sections of the law.
