One day orientation workshop on Nikshay portal held for MLHPs at Ghat

DODA, May 18: The Block Programme Management Unit Ghat today organized a one day orientation cum training workshop on Nikshay portal for Mid Level Health Providers (MLHPs) of Medical Block Ghat  in the BMO Office.

The training was aimed to enhance the basic skills and knowledge of the healthcare workers about the TB programme and to train them to monitor and track services and status related to screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow up of Tuberculosis cases.

The training was imparted to them by Sr Treatment Supervisor (STS) from DTU Doda Irshad Ahmed along with Mashhood Latif and Zeeshan Ali Tramboo.

During the training session, the participants were advised to accelerate the TB elimination activities in their respective areas. They were informed that TB is a priority disease which has been targeted for elimination from India by 2025 and community led participation is an essential component to achieve the target within the stipulated time frame.

The speakers further asked the participants to conduct the awareness activities in their areas effectively to generate mass awareness   regarding the programme.

NI-KSHAY-(Ni=End, Kshay=TB) is the web enabled patient management system for TB control under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) and is used by health functionaries at various levels both in the public and private sector, to register cases under their care, order various types of tests from Labs, record treatment details, monitor treatment adherence and to transfer cases between care providers. It also functions as the National TB Surveillance System and enables reporting of various surveillance data to the Government of India.
