18 arrested: Baramulla police seize 11 tippers, 8 tractors for illegal mining

In a major operation against illegal mining activities, the Baramulla Police have seized 11 tippers and 8 tractors from various locations including Delina, Chakloo, Singhpora, Khawajabagh, Sheeri, Kreeri, and Palhallan, Baramulla. The crackdown also resulted in the arrest of 18 drivers involved in these unlawful activities.

The seized vehicles were found to be actively engaged in transporting illegally mined materials, including sand and gravel, from the designated mining areas.

The arrested individuals will be prosecuted under relevant sections of the law. The Baramulla Police have urged the public to cooperate and report any suspicious activities related to illegal mining, promising strict action against perpetrators.
