NSS SMVDU collaborated with Aanganwadi Centre for Ayushman cardawareness

REASI, March 18: NSS unit of SMVDU Katra organized an awareness program on Ayushman card in collaboration with Aanganwadi centre of Sirah-Kotla panchayat. The door-to-door
awareness program was organized in Kakryal village under Sirah-Kotla panchayat with
ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers of the Anganwadi centre. The details of
the program were briefed by Dr. Prakriti heading community health centre of the area.
Volunteers briefed villagers about the benefits of Ayushman card and its new features
like patient history are now available online.

Volunteers also distributed fruits to small children of the village during the campaign. Around 40 NSS volunteers actively participated in the said drive. NSS student coordinator, Sadhvi Sharma led the event successfully. The campaign lasted for around 2 hours. NSS Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar was also present during the said drive in the village. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar appreciated the efforts of the NSS team for organizing the program and
collaborating with the local health centre.
