Multi Speciality mega health camp held at JNV Arnora (Ghat)

DODA, MAY 08: A one day multi speciality mega health camp was today held at JNV School Arnora (Ghat) in District Doda to mark the observance of World Red Cross Day and to pay tribute and homage to noted Social Activist Late Raja Anayatullah Khan and continue his mission.


The camp was organized by Social Workers Forum (NGO) in collaboration with District Administration, District Health Society and JNV School Arnora.
The Camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh along with Chief Medical Officer Dr Om Kumar, CPO Manish Sharma, Principal JNV School Arnora, Kheem Chand, BMO Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor and members of SWF Doda.


The camp provided an array of specialized medical services encompassing consultations by General Physician, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Child Specialist, Ophthalmology, AYUSH OPD besides NCD screening, Hb testing and other diagnostic tests and essential medicines were rendered free of cost to all patients by the forum.
Earlier, an impressive function was organized by the NGO, where the speakers paid rich tributes to Late Raja Anayatullah Khan and recalled his dedicated services towards society and his grateful contributions in the past successful camps besides the NGO members underscored the paramount importance of such camps in elevating the overall health & well being of the community.


The DC along with NGO members presented Posthumous Award to Late Khan, as a token of love and to recognise his laudable contribution in the field of social work.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the achievements of the SWF Doda for successfully organizing 19 camps in the past. The DC praised the services of the health fraternity towards the people and also praised the services of NGO, in organizing such a mega camp in the camp.
A huge footfall of patients, including students attended the Camp while the medical team examined more than 350 patients for different ailments. Moreover, free Sanitary Napkins were also distributed among 150 girl students of JNV Arnora (Ghat).


The altruistic endeavour benefited a wide spectrum of individuals, particularly those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
The 20th Multi-Specialty Mega Health Camp organized by SWF Doda is a testament to the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in the community to address healthcare needs and contribute to the well-being of the residents of Doda District, which have been commended greatly by the local population.
