Kulgam police crackdown on drug trade: Two peddlers arrested with heroin

In a significant blow to the drug trade in the region, Kulgam police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 5 grams of heroin-like contraband.

The accused, identified as Aabid Hussain Peer of Soaf Shali, Anantnag, and Sohail Ahmad Wani of Dhamal, Anantnag, were apprehended.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 05/2024, invoking sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Qazigund, and an investigation is now underway.

Kulgam police have launched a full investigation into the case and are determined to unearth the extent of the drug peddlers’ network.
