J&K Govt closes inquiry against Deputy Director Prosecution with warning

Jammu & Kashmir Government Closes Inquiry Against Deputy Director Prosecution with Warning The Jammu and Kashmir government closed an inquiry against Inderjeet Lal, Deputy Director Prosecution, with a warning.

The inquiry stemmed from Lal’s unauthorized absence from duties. Lal was found to have violated Rule (ii) of the J&K Employees Conduct Rules, 1971, for failing to follow proper procedure while taking leave on medical grounds.

The inquiry report highlighted that Lal, being a senior official nearing retirement, should have informed his controlling officer about his health condition and leave status.

While his service record reflects dedication to duty, this lapse constituted a minor neglect.

The government, after examining the inquiry report and findings, accepted the Inquiry Officer’s conclusion.

Consequently, the inquiry was closed with a formal warning issued to Lal.
