GDC Mahanpur organises International Conference on “Evolving Education in India: Challenges and Prospects”

KATHUA, MARCH 28: Government Degree College, Mahanpur held an international conference titled “Evolving Education in India: Challenges and Prospects” today. The conference aimed to explore ways to improve education, put value to education and values to humanities, language and sciences, and examine the challenges in education after the implementation of National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020. 

The conference had esteemed guests, including the chief guest, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Alok Kumar, and keynote speakers like Dr Catalino N Mandoza, Vice-Chancellor Eudoxia University USA, Dr Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman, JKBOSE, Dr Mandeep Singh Assistant Prof University of Jammu, and Dr JN Baliya Head, Department of Education, Central University of Jammu.

The Chief Guest, Alok Kumar appreciated the college administration’s efforts in organising such a knowledgeable conference. 

The Principal, Dr Sangeeta Sudan, stressed the need for collaboration among stakeholders to bring meaningful change in Indian Higher Education. 

The technical sessions of the conference were chaired by Dr Arun Dev Singh and Dr Ram Singh, and the conference was attended by more than 130 faculty members, research scholars, and students from various universities and colleges in India and abroad.

Secretary Dr Balbinder Singh thanked the Advisory and Organising Committee members, including Prof Arvind Kumar, Prof Meena Devi, Sourabh Dutta, Dr Parshotam Dass, Dr Neetika Verma, Dr Samvedna Sharma, Dr Ajay Singh Manhas, Prof Rafia Bano and Prof Rohit Sharma of GDC Mahanpur for their combined efforts in making the conference a success.
