Chaitra Navratri: JKAACL Kathua organises Bhajan Sandhya at Sukrala Mata

KATHUA, MARCH 28:  On the eve of holy Navratras, the Sub Office of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in Kathua organised a ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ at Sukrala Mata Temple. A large number of pilgrims attended the soulful night.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Secretary JKAACL, Bharat Singh. President Shankar Ramleela Natak Club Billawar, Subash Choudhary was the chief guest. He praised JKAACL for bringing Bhajan Sandhya to Sukrala Mata and requested them to organise similar events in the future.

SOCA JKAACL Sub-Office Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta, said it is their responsibility to take culture to the shrines. He assured the audience that he would request JKAACL to hold such programmes at other major shrines in District Kathua. He also thanked the working committee of Sukrala Mata Temple for their support.

The programme began with vibrant singing by Narinder Kumar and Party, followed by presentations from Om Basotra and Party, Randeep Chadail and Party, Mohinder Kumar and Party, Vaishno Devi and Party. The programme concluded with a soulful presentation by Rita Devi and Party. The programme was conducted by Sat Pal Singh.

Pilgrims and locals appreciated JKAACL for bringing cultural events to a religious place. One local resident, Basant, said that every artist had made him spellbound with their soulful and magical performance. He further requested the authorities for organizing such events on all such occasions in future also at Sukrala Mata.
