Muhammad Mahabat Khan III, the Nawab of Junagadh, was renowned for his profound affection for his dogs. His devotion extended to his extensive collection of over 800 dogs, each affording individual accommodations, caretakers, and even masseuses. He has spent over 2 crores INR for the wedding of his beloved pet, Roshnara and invited dignitaries from across the region, elevating it to the status of a state holiday.


During the time of Partition, Nawab’s extraordinary attachment to his dogs was highlighted when he left behind his wife and child, opting to flee to Pakistan with his cherished pets.
