DDC Reasi reviews implementation of Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojna (PMAAGY)

REASI, MARCH 14: District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan reviewed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojna (PMAAGY) at meeting held here today. 

The scheme, introduced by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, aims to transform villages with a significant tribal population into model villages (Adarsh Gram) through integrated socio-economic development and a convergence approach.

Under the revamped scheme, known as the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojna (PMAAGY), the Ministry of Tribal Affairs intends to implement a transformative plan 2024-25. The primary objective of this initiative is to achieve the holistic development of selected villages by addressing their specific needs, potential, and aspirations.

During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the progress of works under the PMAAGY scheme and other initiatives for the tribal community. 

Key issues addressed included the construction and repair of school buildings, provision of electricity in tribal areas, road repairs, new road constructions, repair and modify electric polls, the installation of desktops in schools

The DDC Mahajan emphasized the importance of developing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for these initiatives and urged the officers to utilize funds effectively, ensuring maximum benefit to the tribal communities.

The DDC Mahajan directed concerned officers to revisit there areas for various developmental works marks a significant step towards the betterment of the tribal communities in the region.

ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, PO Poshan Mohd Anwar Banday, SE PWD Romesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACD Pardeep Kumar, CEO, DFO and other concerned district officers were present.
