DDC chairs introductory meeting of District Development Council Anantnag

ANANTNAG, May 04: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, S.F. Hamid today held an introductory meeting with the District Development Council at Dak Banglow Khanabal.

DDC Chairman, Vice Chairman, all the District Development Council members and BDC Chairpersons attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the DDC emphasized the important role that council members play in implementing developmental programs and welfare schemes for the betterment of the general public.

He stressed the need for planning and monitoring of developmental projects and welfare schemes to achieve assigned targets in a timely and efficient manner.

The council members raised several public-oriented demands, including the macadamization of roads, upgrading of health facilities in rural and remote areas, rationalization of staff in educational institutes and issues related to roads, water supply and health facilities.

The DDC assured council members that all genuine demands will be examined and incorporated into projected plans. He also stressed the importance of sectoral officers remaining available to the call of PRI’s and taking them on board in planning, execution, and monitoring of developmental works under District UT and centrally sponsored schemes.

The chairman, vice-chairman, and other members appreciated the initiative taken by the DDC for having an introductory meeting and expressed their willingness to work together for the development and welfare of the district.

The meeting was a productive and positive step towards achieving the goals of the District Development Council and improving the lives of the people of Anantnag.

ADC Anantnag, JD Planning, BDC chairpersons, BDC members and all other sectoral officers were also present in the meeting.
