DC reviews Progress of Revenue Department at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, October 14: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Saloni Rai, presided over a meeting with officers from the Revenue department to assess and streamline the department in the District. The meeting took place at the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rafiq Ahmad Jaral, SDMs from Ramnagar, Chenani, Dudu, and Basantgarh, along with all Tehsildars attended the meeting.

During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on various issues, including the digitization of revenue records, quality checks on updated Jamabandies and digitized Mussavies, recreation of damaged Mussavies, data entry of backlogged mutations, revenue court cases, relief cases under SDRF, the status of the Public Service Guarantee Act, complaint and grievance resolutions, and building permissions etc were discussed in detail.

In terms of reviewing the writing of Jamabandies and quality checks on a Tehsil-wise basis, the DC directed the Revenue department to expedite the process and ensure quality checks on revenue records are in line with their targets. She also emphasized officers to work in accordance with established rules and regulations, providing services within the stipulated time frames outlined in the PSGA. The DC called for regular field visits by all Revenue officers and the submission of tour diaries.

The Deputy Commissioner further urged the SDMs and ACR to oversee not only the revenue-related work but also all developmental projects.
