DC Kishtwar holds Round Table Discussion with Young Entrepreneurs for upcoming Hackathon, Digital Skill Development Workshops to Foster Entrepreneurship

KISHTWAR, AUGUST 29: In view of the Digital Week celebration in the district, a significant round table discussion was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav , here today.

The event, held in the VC Hall of the DC Office, witnessed the participation of young entrepreneurs, aspiring startups, and youth-led businesses of the District.Apart from Youth Entrepreneurs, ADDC, Sham Lal; District Information Officer, Maneet Sharma; District Informatics Officer NIC, Pankaj Kumar also attended the event.Experts and consultants from the Startup Cell, IIT Jammu joined the event online, adding valuable insight to the event.Young entrepreneurs and aspiring Start-ups were introduced to an upcoming Hackathon and Digital Skill Development Camps, key components of the Digital Week celebration in the district which is set to commence on September 2, 2023, at GDC Kishtwar

The Hackathon and Workshops aims to stimulate a brainstorming session, encouraging innovation among the youth. District Administration Kishtwar is spearheading the organization of these events, inviting all aspiring individuals to partake.The Hackathon emerges as a prime platform for Kishtwar’s young generation.During a presentation various Hackathon themes came to the forefront, including Smart City Kishtwar, innovative agricultural solutions, tourism and local art promotion, environmental sustainability, efficient waste management, flood control systems, and open problem-solving challenges with sustainable solutions. The event welcomed suggestions from participants, aimed at enriching the Hackathon’s impact.Acknowledging the significance of Digital  skill Development, the Hackathon prioritizes Digital Skill Development camps and workshops on AI tools also. These initiatives aim to equip participants with valuable digital skills, while also raising awareness about cyber safety.

The program aims to benefit students and various stakeholders in Kishtwar.The Deputy Commissioner’s vision was emphasized during the session, stressing the importance of nurturing a digital entrepreneurship ecosystem. He highlighted the need for the modern digital technology approach to empower new startups and entrepreneurial ventures.Participants engaged in meaningful discussions with experts from the IIT Jammu and District Administration Kishtwar. Queries and uncertainties were immediately addressed, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the Hackathon’s scope.Experts urged participants to actively participate and pitch their innovative ideas during the Hackathon.
