DC Kishtwar conducts tour of Dachhan Block; presides over Public Grievance Redressal Camp under Block Diwas Programme

KISHTWAR, August 23: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav today spearheaded a comprehensive tour of the Dachhan block while leading a team of district officials to oversee the ongoing development initiatives and engage with the public at a grievances redressal Camp.

The day-long tour culminated in a successful public grievance redressal camp conducted under the weekly Block Diwas program at Panjdhara.

The tour group, which included SDM Marwah Dr. Mohsin Raza, Tehsildar Dachhan Suresh Kumar Thakur, DSWO Zubair Ahmed Lone, CMO Kishtwar Dr. M Y Mir,CAO Amjad Hussain Malik, SHO Chatroo Parwiaz Iqbal, along with other officers and officials from various line departments, addressed a multitude of concerns of the local population.

Numerous residents from Panjdhara and the neighboring regions actively participated in the camp, availing the opportunity to share their grievances and demands.

The Deputy Commissioner lent a patient ear to the issues raised by the people and local PRIs, focusing on enhancing the local infrastructure and the efficiency of public services in the remote area.

Addressing the gathered audience, Dr. Devansh Yadav assured prompt redressal of the raised concerns and timely resolution of genuine issues. A significant number of grievances were instantly resolved in collaboration with concerned officers and department officials.

Among the key announcements made during the event, Dr. Yadav revealed plans for the immediate relocation of Govt Middle School Suid to a new building. Additionally, he assured repair work of the PHC Suid labor room and the establishment of a new mortuary room in consultation with the Health Department.

Notably, a budget of Rs 60 lakh was approved for the installation of a 25 KW solar unit in the Kibber Nallah area.

To bolster education in the region, Dr. Devansh Yadav disclosed plans to establish Vigyan Shakti Science Labs and libraries in various schools of Dachhan under the new education policy within a month. Moreover, the HS Kiyar proposal for 2.5 crore was slated for consideration under the CVPPL CSR plan, ensuring the development of crucial infrastructure, including a community hall, PHC Dachhan, Veterinary, and Agriculture office buildings, all scheduled for completion in the coming months.

Focusing on essential connectivity, the Deputy Commissioner pledged accelerated completion of PMGSY Road work and the balance bridge work before the onset of winter, demonstrating a mission-driven approach to meet the set goals.

The camp also provided a platform for officers and officials to acquaint residents with numerous individual beneficiary-oriented schemes, encouraging them to avail the available benefits.
