CRC organizes ‘Run for Unity’ to commemorate National Unity Day

SRINAGAR, October 31: Composite Regional Centre, (CRC), Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ&E), Government of India, Bemina, Srinagar today organized ‘Run for Unity’ to commemorate National Unity Day on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The Run for Unity event was started by the CRC from Lal-chowk (Ghanta Ghar) to Regal Chowk Srinagar, which concluded near Partap Park, Residency Road Srinagar.

The event was attended by more than 150 participants comprising CRC staff members, CRC students, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and others.

Speaking during the event, the Office in-charge CRC, Dr. Arifa Amin put forth that such events stretch the spirit of unity and awareness generation among the common masses and also boost the morale of staff, students and persons with disabilities.

She also expressed  that such a programme has been organized and experienced for the first time by CRC, however, the events will be conducted under the auspicious guidance of  Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, MSJ&E,  Government of  India in future also in the public interest.
