Baramulla police attach land worth lakhs belonging to Pakistan-based terror handlers

In a major crackdown on terror financing, Baramulla Police have attached 13 kanals of land belonging to seven alleged terror handlers based in Pakistan. The action was taken after obtaining an attachment order from the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court Baramulla.

The attached properties are linked to FIR No. 04/2008 registered under sections 2/3 of the Explosive Substances Act (ESA), 121 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (waging war against the nation), 7/25 of the Indian Arms Act (IAA), and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at Kreeri Police Station.

According to police, the land is worth several lakhs of rupees. This seizure disrupts the financial channels of these terror networks operating from across the border.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their efforts to curb terror funding and activities in the region. This latest attachment is part of an ongoing campaign to seize assets suspected of being used to finance terrorism.
