2 held in Samba: Police foil bovine smuggling attempts, 3 vehicles seized

In a series of successful operations against bovine smuggling, the Samba Police seized three vehicles, arrested two individuals, and rescued twelve bovines in the areas of Ghagwal, Supwal, and Goran across the district.

Acting on credible intelligence, the Samba Police initiated a targeted operation in response to ongoing concerns about the illegal transportation of bovines. The crackdown resulted in the arrest of two individuals allegedly engaged in bovine smuggling activities.

All three vehicles have been seized, and the rescued bovines are currently undergoing veterinary care. Cases have been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against the arrested individuals.
