Zonal Level Science Exhibition held at GHSS Khaltse

LEH, May 11: The Zonal Level Science Exhibition, for the first time, was held at Government Higher School (GHSS), Khaltse today organised by the staff and students of GHSS Khaltse.

Assistant Professor, Govt. Degree College Khaltse, Dr. Stanzin Namtak; Horticulture Development Officer, Khaltse, Dr. Stanzin Angmo and Agriculture Extension Officer, Khaltse, Kunzang Dolma were the judges of the Science exhibition event.

Principal, GHSS Khaltse, Padma Yangchen; Lecturer, Botany/Zonal Coordinator, Rigzin Namgail, staff and students of GHSS; Teacher Incharge and students of various schools of Khaltse zone were present on the occasion.

A total of 09 Government Schools, including 4 Government Higher Secondary Schools and 5 Government High Schools of Khaltse zone participated in the exhibition.

The Zonal-level Science exhibition focused on seven different themes and was adjudged accordingly after a detailed review by the panel of judges.

In the Information and Communication theme, GHS Domkhar Gongma secured first position and GHSS Temisgam secured second position.

In the Eco-friendly Material theme, GHSS Temisgam secured first position; GHSS Khaltse secured second position and GHS Baima got third position. 

In the Health and Cleanliness theme, GHS Domkhar Gongma secured first position; GHS Hanu Yokma secured second position and GHSS Khaltse secured third position. 

In the Transportation and Innovation theme, GHS Wanla secured the first position. Similarly, in the Environmental Concern theme, GHSS secured first position; GHS Domkhar Gongma second position, and GHS Skurbuchan secured third position. 

In the Historical Development with Current Innovation theme, GHS Wanla secured first position while GHSS Khaltse and GHS Lamayuru secured second and third position respectively. 

In the Mathematics for Us theme, GHSS Khaltse secured the first position, GHSS Temisgam second position, and GHS Tia third position. 

The position holders in the Zonal Level Science Exhibition will participate in the District Level Science Exhibition. 

In the end, prizes were distributed to the winners, and Zonal Coordinator, Rigzin Namgail delivered the vote of thanks.
