JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla who presided over the workers meeting expressed serious concern over the difficulties on account of rising unemployment, lack of development at grass roots level  and many other local issues confronting people,  which are not being addressed  and termed it as failure of the Govt.Govt has failed on all fronts, Bhalla said and emphasized the Govt to ensure development works at grass roots level. He also slammed the Govt for failing to curb rising unemployment, which is a dangerous proposition and has to dealt firmly.Congress Party is doing principle-based politics and won’t compromise on people aspirations, Bhalla said and urged the Govt to fulfill its promise of development and employment, as people of J&K have suffered tremendous hardships due to the ugliest situation.

BJP government has failed to control inflation and fulfill promises made. Our youth should support and trust congress leadership from grassroots to national level, he said. Bhalla  said that only congress can save the idea of India where each individual can live life with dignity.

We promise that congress will stop this growing inflation and will adopt public friendly policies where everyone can get equal benefit and not a few crony capitalists will eat up the wealth of taxpayers,” Bhalla said. Government should not only make false promises of making Naya Jammu and Kashmir but should work on creating more employment opportunities for unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.He condemned the apathy shown by the Government in addressing, pressing and crucial grievances of  the people.“It seems like Government exists only on papers.

Basic responsibilities of the administration have become luxuries as the Government remains clueless and utterly insensitive to the hardships being faced by the people. The common man has been cornered in a ruthless and sadistic manner by a Government that remains deaf and blind”, Bhalla said.

Bhalla further asked the party office bearers to remain prepared for any political challenges that may arise and to augment the party’s organizational synergy at all levels. He claimed that BJP will have to pay heavy price for the conspiracy which it has allegedly knitted against people of J&K. “Today the situation on ground is that all the communities are up in arms against BJP as all are feeling cheated at the hands of BJP’s wrong policies,” Bhalla said, adding, if BJP Government claims to be honest and judicious, they should come before the public and justify how several decisions in J&K taken against the wishes of the people, who are the real stakeholders.

The former minister said J&K lost their identity under BJP and appealed to the people to support Congress in the fight for the restoration of statehood. He said in the absence of an elected government, the LG administration has failed badly to pursue all those connected with development for giving push to the schemes and projects aimed at overall development and welfare of various areas and different segments of society.

Yogesh Sawhney in his address hit out at the Centre and LG Administration for  deteriorating situation in J&K” and blamed them both for  failing to create an atmosphere of peace as a result of which the country and J&K are passing though very crucial phase leading to the deep alienation among people. People are subjected to mental torture by J&K government in order to hide its failures. Government has miserably failed to deliver.

The misrule and mismanagement on their part has added to the woes of the people. Sawhney said all the promises made to the people by BJP after securing votes from them on sensitive issues, have fallen flat. “People have realized that they have been misled very badly on various public issues; unemployment has risen considerably; developmental process started by the UPA I & UPA II has come to standstill; lack of policy on the part of J&K government has disturbed the socio political scenario of J&K.

Manmohan Singh censuring BJP for failing to come up to the expectations of the people said people in J&K have realized that their vote to BJP instead of giving any respite to them has brought miseries to them. He  said that the Congress stands committed to respect the “urges” and “aspirations” of the people and it will never allow BJP to play with the emotions of the people for sake of electoral gains.Singh blamed BJP for “undermining” the authority of democratic institutions of J&K for their personal benefit.

“They are trying to  thrust Panchayat elections in a hurry without uttering a word on conduct of assembly elections,” he said.Ironically BJP ensured deferment of Assembly elections with the fear of defeat citing the reason as deteriorating situation. Alleging that Jammu and Kashmir has suffered the most under the BJP regime, Singh asserted that in the run-up to the assembly elections, the Congress will intensify its ideological fight against BJP and its policies towards the union territory.

Rajnish Sharma Mian speaking on the occasion claimed that so far BJP rule has been of “mismanagement, immense despair and agony” and the country today stands at a stage where the common people are suffering from the wounds inflicted by the government whereas Congress has been continuing its efforts to listen to grievances of aggrieved people in various areas of J&K.He said politics of disorientation and false propaganda have become the hallmark of the functioning of the Modi government.

The ninth year of Modi government stands at a stage where the citizens of the country are forced to suffer the countless wounds and ruthless insensitivity inflicted by the government,” he charged. He said that people are feeling harassed by ‘tax-terror’ and unprecedented price hike by the Modi Govt. At the same time, they realize that BJP Govt is looting them to recover the losses it has caused to the Country’s economy by misrule and mismanagement of things since day one, as a result, there is restlessness across the country.
