Work on PMGSY project resumed by resolving dispute
POONCH, JUNE 17: The construction work of Sailan to Marha Bridge PMGSY road has been resumed after the resolution of a dispute that caused significant delays in its completion.
Some residents had obstructed the project due to land-related issues, halting road work despite the bridge’s successful completion in March 2025.
In response to the situation, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal took decisive action by directing the revenue department to extend necessary support to the PMGSY engineering team. The intervention effectively addressed the dispute, allowing road construction to recommence.
The local community has expressed gratitude to the district administration for resolving the long-standing issue. The resumption of work is anticipated to greatly enhance connectivity and improve infrastructure in the region, benefiting all residents.
