Weekly Block Diwas Held at Ramnagar Town Hall: DC engages with public, listens to people’s grievances

RAMNAGAR, September 06: Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai today conducted a public grievance redressal camp at Town Hall Ramnagar, aiming to gain firsthand insight into public grievances and concerns.

President  MC Ramnagar, Banti Devi; BDC Chairman. Des Raj; DDC members Mool Raj and Jattu Ram, ADDC Ghan Shyam Singh, SDM Shishir Gupta, ACD Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, PRI members and local residents attended the event.

During the camp, PRI members raised various demands and issues seeking construction of boundary walls and playfields in different schools in panchayats Sunetar-B and Kaghote, redress of issues concerning ASHA Workers, inclusion of the names of 7 to 8-year-old children in Ration Cards for Domicile Certificates and other requirements, expediting the progress of JJM works in Dehari Panchayat, addressing the problem of water scarcity, construction of new roads from Degree College Thaplal to Devi Keri and Kauga to Nursingh Mandir Kaghote, maintenance of link roads, unscheduled power cuts in Ramnagar and surrounding areas, the establishment of a firewood depot, filling vacant teaching positions in various schools, and the provision of offices for BDCs and DDCs.

  The Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to the concerns and issues raised by the PRIs and local residents. She assured them that similar outreach camps would be organized in the future to address the genuine issues of the people. She emphasized that the primary goal of conducting Block Diwas is to resolve daily public issues and implement centrally sponsored schemes effectively. She urged the PRIs to work efficiently in implementing these welfare schemes and assured that many grievances were addressed on the spot with the help of relevant department officers. She also pledged to prioritize the remaining demands by mobilizing resources and directed officers to work diligently to meet the genuine demands of the public.

Later, the ADDC administered the Bhrashtachar Mukt Jammu & Kashmir pledge to all participants, reinforcing the commitment to corruption-free governance.
