Weekly Block Diwas: District Admin convenes Public Outreach programme at Block Baggan

KATHUA, January 18: In its endeavour to reach out to the door steps of the people, Deputy Administration today convened a Public Outreach Camp at remote Block Baggan.

  Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey presided over the Public Outreach Camp   at Dhar Dugnoo Lower.

 ADC Billawar, ACD Kathua, DDC Member, CMO Kathua,  BDO Baggan, officers of various departments and PRI members were present on the occasion.

 During the programme scores of individuals and deputations, including PRI members projected demands and apprised the DC about the problems faced by the inhabitants of their respective areas.

 The people of Block Baggan and adjoining areas putforth issues concerning their areas ranging from the provision of better road connectivity, additional Building for Government Higher Secondary School Dhar Dugnoo, meeting shortage of teaching staff in schools, expediting pace of works  under Jal Jeevan Mission, repair of kitchen sheds of 5 primary and two middle schools, augmentation of drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply and other basic amenities.

 After hearing the demands of the people patiently, the DC passed on spot instructions to the concerned departments for time bound redress of all the issues.

 While speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Block Diwas initiative was aimed at reaching out to the people and listening to their grievances and redressing them in an efficient and coordinated manner. He enjoined upon the concerned officers to prioritize the grievances and redress them in a time bound manner.

 Earlier, Deputy Commissioner took a round of stalls put up by various departments at the venue of the Block Diwas exhibiting their schemes and programmes.
