Weekly Block Diwas: DC Ramban spearheads grievances redressal, resolves developmental hurdles in rural areas

RAMBAN, December 13: Enhancing the reach and impact of weekly Block Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary today conducted a comprehensive tour across the Panchayats of Ramban and Gandhri Blocks, effectively bringing governance to the doorsteps of the people.

Traversing 16 kilometers on foot, the Deputy Commissioner, along with the team off officers, not only covered ground but conquered obstacles impeding the construction of the Pernote-Thalwa road, a crucial project being executed by the PWD department. In recognizing the challenging terrain, completion of this road promises enhanced ease of life to the local populace.

Education as Pillar of Prosperity:  Highlighting education as a cornerstone of harmonious development, the DC impressed upon the residents to channel focused attention towards the education of their wards, with a particular emphasis on the education of the girl child. He emphasized education’s pivotal role in fostering societal development and national prosperity.

Grievances addressed at Pernote- A; In Panchayat Pernote –A, Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary lent a patient ear to the issues and demands voiced by residents, focusing on basic amenities and need-based development. This responsive engagement underscores a dedication to grassroots development. DC immediately directed the concerned officers for redressal of grievances.

Rural Development Inspection; While traversing, the DC meticulously inspected ongoing developmental works in Panchayats Batli and Pernote-A, undertaken by the Rural Development Departments. Directing Block Development Officers (BDOs), he emphasized the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of Amrit Sarovars and other water bodies for the preservation and conservation of

Infrastructural Enhancements, Considering the challenging topography, the DC directed concerned BDOs to provide durable pathways to every village, a move expected to significantly improve the lives of local residents. Furthermore, he mandated an age-wise survey to assess the educational infrastructure requirements of the area.

Welfare Schemes, Visiting the home of  Rehmatullah, a beneficiary of the PMAY-R scheme in Pernote, Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary commended the realization of a concrete house. Encouraging the community, he urged residents to actively avail themselves of government welfare schemes designed for their well-being and development.

Responsive Governance at Batli, Listening attentively to public concerns in Batli, the Deputy Commissioner issued on-the-spot directives to address grievances promptly, showcasing a commitment to prioritizing and resolving community issues.
