Wanted criminal in 17 FIRs arrested from Bari Brahmana

SAMBA, 12 February 2024: Bari Brahmana Police under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana has arrested 1 hardcore criminal namely Kapil Sharma alias Jimmy s/o Kamal Sharma r/o Chaudahi, Sainik Colony, Jammu.

Police has arrested the above-named criminal under Case FIR No. 11/2024 U/S 420/323/342/506 IPC of Police Station Bari Brahmana. It is informed that PS Bari Brahmana had registered FIR 11/2024, on basis of complaint alleging incessant violence, illegal confinement and cheating in fraudulently run drug deaddiction centre in Birpur, Bari Brahmana.

Post registering FIR, police party was immediately dispatched and 15 victims of violence were rescued and reunited with their family members. However, the main accused Kapil Sharma alias Jimmy was absconding. Sustained efforts of PS Bari Brahmana finally led to arrest of absconding criminal today. This arrest was executed by police party comprising of PSI Nirmal Singh, Sgct Tavinder Singh led by SHO Sumeet Sharma of Police Station Bari Brahmana.

It is informed that the accused is wanted in 17 FIRs in Jammu and Samba districts, with involvement in heinous offenses such as attempt to murder, peddling narcotics, illegally carrying weapons, snatching etc.
