Babu Rampaul calls for strengthening Party

JAMMU July 24: Former minister and President Central Zone (Jammu-Samba-Kathua) Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Babu Ram Paul, has directed the District Coordinators of the Central Zone to mobilize party cadres and get ready for ULB elections.

He held a threadbare discussion with the party functionaries and drew a roadmap for a mass contact programme. He asked them to fully gear up for ULB elections which can be announced anytime.

Rampaul emphasized on the need to highlight the failures of current dispensation as people were facing severe hardships due to governance paralysis. He said that growing unemployment was a matter of great concern as the present regime has miserably failed to create job opportunities for the youth.

During the meeting Babu Rampal deliberated in detail the various aspects imperative to strengthen the party at the grass root level. Various issues were discussed during the meeting which include the present political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir, imposition of property tax in J&K, rising unemployment, uncontrollable inflation etc.

He opined emphasising on the office bearers to disseminate the information amongst general masses about the good work and achievements made by National Conference Party in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also said that the National Conference is a party of masses and hence all the office bearers and party workers must join hands together to raise the voice of the public and their day to day issues for appropriate redressal.

Former Minister flayed the Govt for its hollow promises to bring “Achhe Din” (good days) as mere basic facilities like water and power are still not fully available as per the requirement of the public.

He urged the party cadre not to waste their time and strengthen their base to defeat the nefarious designs of communal forces in the forthcoming ULB elections.  Later, during the meeting Shakeel Ahmed was appointed as Zonal Joint Secretary.
