Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan kicked off in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MAY 29: Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan commenced today in District Udhampur, with hosting of farmers’ awareness camps in nine villages of Block Chenani, Block Dudu and Block Chanunta.

The awareness programme will cover all the 17 blocks by organising similar camps across 135 locations. The scientists from KVK and officers from agriculture and allied departments educated the farming community about the latest innovations and techniques being adopted in modern agriculture.

The Chief Agriculture Officer, being nodal officer of the District, attended the awareness programme at village Tandar in block Chenani along with Apiculture Development Officer and Mushroom Development Officer.
The team of officers educated the farming community about natural farming, organic farming practices, and soil health management practices. The awareness about PMFBY, PMKISAN, KCC was also imparted to participating farmers by concerned JAEO. Dr Manish Sharma, scientist from KVK explained the concept of Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan in the programme.
