Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan gains momentum across District Samba

SAMBA, MAY 31: The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA)- a 15 days nationwide campaign launched by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, was held today at nine villages of Sumb, Rajpura and Ghagwal blocks of District Samba. The Abhiyan is being carried out under the direct supervision of District Nodal Officer Prof Sanjay Khajuria and Joint Nodal Officer Dr. Rakesh Khajuria.


The Campaign focused on educating farmers about the advanced agriculture techniques with special reference to Kharif crops and the centrally sponsored agricultural schemes.
Progressive farmers from different blocks of the District also shared their success stories with the farming community which was highly appreciated by all the participants.


Experts including Subject Matter Specialists, Scientists from diverse disciplines from KVK, SKUAST Jammu, Agriculture Extension Officers, Junior Agriculture Extension Officers, Agriculture Extension Assistants and officials from allied departments directly engaged with the farmers shared knowledge about sustainable Agricultural growth.
