Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra deepens impact of Govt Schemes in Ramban District

RAMBAN, JANUARY 9: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Ramban District, steered by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, is making significant progress towards positive change.

With over 80,000 participants, including 31,000 women from diverse backgrounds, the 43-day initiative is gaining commendable momentum.

Focused on implementing crucial government schemes, the Yatra places a special emphasis on engaging local youth. Enthusiastic involvement in initiatives like PM-JAY Ayushman Card, Poshan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, KCC, PM Kissan Nidhi, reflects the community’s active interest. The District Administration’s efforts to ensure widespread issuance of PM-JAY Ayushman Cards are notably improving healthcare accessibility in the region.

The journey has witnessed a dedicated approach to health concerns, as a substantial number of individuals underwent anemia tests. The Health Department’s screenings for TB and NCD reached 17,300 and 50,000 individuals, respectively, demonstrating a robust commitment to public health.

Supporting the agricultural sector, the Agriculture Department’s distribution of KCC cards to farmers has been a vital aspect of the Yatra. Additionally, the “Meri Kahani Meri Zabhani” initiative has provided a platform for around 2,200 individuals to share success stories, fostering a sense of community achievement.

Today’s activities included an impactful Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van visit to Panchayat Doligam Lower and Doligam Upper-A, generating substantial public engagement. In Batote town, Ward No 1 Tringla hosted a motivational program, encouraging residents to take advantage of government-sponsored schemes. Various departmental stalls were set up, raising awareness and facilitating registrations for AB-PMJAY (Golden Cards) and eKYC of Ration Cards. The honoring of two beneficiary families of PMAY with token keys to their new homes marked tangible progress in housing initiatives.

Conducted under the overall  supervision of DC Ramban, Bharat Sankalp Yatra remains a driving force for positive change, fostering community involvement and propelling the district toward the shared vision of a developed India by 2047.
