Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra provides effective platform to avail Govt Schemes in Ramban

RAMBAN JANUARY 12: The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, led  by Deputy Commissioner Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, is leaving a profound impact on Ramban district.

In the course of 46 days, this ambitious journey has garnered significant momentum, with an impressive participation of 88,000 individuals, including 34,000 women. The primary objective is to saturate all beneficiary-oriented schemes in the region by the year-end.

Panchayats along the Yatra route come alive with a festive atmosphere, as the initiative not only raises awareness about various government schemes but also facilitates fresh enrolments under various central sponsored schemes.  On-the-spot delivery of benefits under certain schemes adds a tangible dimension to the Yatra’s impact.

Under able guidance of DC Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, all departments are actively engaged in promoting and extending the benefits of their respective schemes. This includes widely recognized initiatives such as PMAY-G, PMAY-U, PM-JAY Ayushman Card, Poshan ICDS, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, MUDRA Yojana, KCC, and PM Kissan Nidhi. Special emphasis is placed on healthcare accessibility, with over 3360 PM-JAY Ayushman Cards issued and regular health check-ups, including TB monitoring.

The Yatra also prioritizes empowering farmers through the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, ensuring streamlined access to timely credit for agricultural inputs. The ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ initiative has proven to be a powerful tool, enabling individuals to share success stories, fostering a sense of community achievement.

Today, the Yatra visited the Panchayats of Bankoot and Gundadalkoot-B, conducting various Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities. Additionally, in Batote town, motivational and awareness programs were held in Purani Batote ward no. 4. These initiatives encouraged the local public to benefit from government-sponsored schemes, with departmental stalls providing awareness and facilitating registrations.

Residents and officials alike are actively participating in the Yatra, reaffirming their commitment by taking the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge during events across the Ramban district. Jahangir Hashmi, PO ICDS, Ramban, highlights that the Yatra is increasingly becoming an accessible platform for the public to reach out and benefit from various schemes.
