Vikramaditya visits ancient temples at Utter Behni, Purmandal Shrines 

Takes stock of functioning of temples, gives directions to provide state of art facilities to visitors 

SAMBA, May 17: Vikramaditya Singh, Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust and former MLC today visited various ancient temples at Utter Behni and Purmandal shrines, and took stock of the functioning of these noted religious destinations visited by the devotees coming from across the country and even abroad.

Vikramaditya commenced his whirlwind tour of various temples from Abhimukteshwar Temple in Utterbehni and took stock of its functioning and the facilities which are being provided to devotees.

The former MLC performed Pooja and took a round of temple complex. Later, he interacted with priests, supervisors and other staffers to have firsthand knowledge about the working of the temple. He also directed the concerned staff to maintain cleanliness and serenity in and around the complex to ensure tidiness and good vibes. 

Vikramaditya also visited the nearby location where Chandan trees have been planted in large numbers. He directed the concerned staffers of the Trust to take good care of the precious plants.

Later, the Trustee visited Ranbirsingheshwar Temple and Maharani Shopian Temple besides 200 years old Gadhadhar Temple in Utterbehni and took stock of the functioning of these religious sites. He showed keen interest in the upkeep of these temples and accordingly directed the caretakers to ensure proper management of these temples. 

Later, Vikramaditya Singh visited Purmandal Temple which is also called as Umapati Mahadev Temple and interacted with Temple Priests and staff.

The Trustee asked the staff to work dedicatedly to provide maximum facilities to the visiting devotees. He also asked Trust’s staff to remain cautious of the notorious elements, who could make attempts to encroach the temple land.  He said that any such attempt should be reported to the Trust’s Main Office and the local police to stop illegal encroachers from encroaching the Trust’s land.

Brig (Retd) R.S Langeh, President of the Trust; Ashok Kumar (SSP Retd) Secretary, Varinder Jamwal, Additional Secretary, Land Record Officer, Sat Pal Sharma and others accompanied the Trustee.
