Vikram Randhawa holds public darbar at BJP headquarters
Jammu, 18 June 2025: Vikram Randhawa, MLA from Bahu and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, held a public darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Naga, Jammu.

The public outreach programme witnessed the participation of more than two dozen deputations from diverse localities including Rani Talab Digiana, Gangyal, Trikuta Nagar, Raghunath Bazar, Nanak Nagar, Nai Basti, Extension Ambedkar Nagar, Dharmsal Kalakote, Rajpura Mangotrian, Bhatindi, Sector-5 Nanak Nagar, Talab Tillo, Sector-1 Trikuta Nagar, Adarsh Enclave, KC Colony, among others. The large footfall is a testimony to the public’s trust in the BJP’s commitment to responsive and people-centric governance.
During the darbar, deputations presented a wide range of civic and administrative issues affecting their respective localities. Prominent among these were the demand for freehold possession of plots in JDA Colony Trikuta Nagar, resolution of long-pending liabilities of SRTC retired employees from 1999, and the immediate release of COLA. Other concerns included compassionate appointment under SRO-43 for victim of terrorism, clearance and desilting of blocked drains, replacement of outdated PHE pipelines, and the urgent need for new street lighting in various colonies.
Several deputations highlighted the acute water shortage in specific areas, encroachment and overflow of nallahs needing demolition and regulation, as well as infrastructural issues such as upgrading of lanes and drains. Specific demands also came forward like allotment of public utility space opposite Vaishnavi Dham and cancellation of official duty for a critically ill employee on humanitarian grounds. A representation also requested implementation of the Sports Policy to ensure the recruitment of outstanding sportspersons.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Randhawa patiently listened to all deputations and assured that every issue raised would be taken up with the concerned departments at the earliest. He reiterated the BJP’s vision of a participatory governance model where people’s voices are heard and acted upon without delay.
Vikram Randhawa said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party is deeply committed to the holistic development of Jammu & Kashmir and solving the issues of the common man at the ground level. Our public darbars are a direct bridge between people and administration. We believe that a government must be accessible, accountable, and sensitive to the needs of every citizen. Every issue brought to our notice today will be taken up with the concerned departments, and we will follow up until they are resolved.”
