Vigilance Awareness Day observed at Shopian

SHOPIAN, AUGUST 05: Vigilance Awareness event was today organised at Shopian, with Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha in chair to urge stakeholders to work for evolving corruption free society.

During the awareness programme, Speakers elaborated in detail the forms, causes and repercussions of corruption in the society. Various speakers deliberated on the laws and rules dealing with corruption and procedures to deal with this menace.

ACR stated that there was a need to work together to eradicate corruption and oppose all forms of corruption. Stressing that the Administration was committed to provide corruption free governance and quality services, he sought cooperation of all stakeholders in eradicating this social evil and urged them to work towards making Shopian district a corruption free district.

He also urged the officers to keep close vigil on the subordinate staff and dispose-off the grievances and cases in fixed timelines.

Senior Prosecuting Officer, Naseer Ahmed while speaking on the occasion, shared glaring examples of the corruption in the society and urged all the participants to spread awareness about the ill effects of the corruption.

A pledge ceremony was also held on this occasion to fight and eradicate this evil completely from society.

District/Sectoral officers, besides officials from Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) were present on the occasion.
