Vice Chairperson launches work of Jal Jeevan Mission scheme at Panchayat Pinger

UDHAMPUR, May 18: Vice Chairperson, District Development Council, Udhampur, Juhi Pathania today toured  Panchayat Pinger of Block Parlidhar along with the officers of various line departments.

She launched the work on  WSS Pinger under Jal Jeevan Mission, the ambitious project of GOI. The project has been launched  in line with the PM’s resolution to provide ‘Har Ghar Ko Jal’.  She called upon the officers to ensure that all the sanctioned projects are started timely thereby facilitating provision of tap water to each house in the habitation. The Inaugurated project will help in enhancing the quality of life of these villages.

While launching Jal Jeevan Mission, Pathania assured the people that after the completion of the project worth Rs 969.12 lakh every household in the vicinity will get clean tap water and the problem concerning the dearth of potable water will be fully eliminated.

 During her tour, the Vice Chairperson also listened to the public grievances and assured them timely redressal of the same. She also instructed the accompanying officers to work for the uplift of rural areas and push themselves for the timely completion of various ongoing developmental projects.

She called for redressal of problems being faced by the locals of the respective areas.

The camp was attended by different departments,  and district/block heads of the Education Department, Rural Development, Power , Public Health Engineering (PHE), Forest, Health and other departments were also present.

Mrs Pathania called for greater coordination between general public and officials of various departments for speedy development of the area and redressal of the public issues.

  Earlier, she listened to problems of the people of the area and issued direction for on spot redressal of the problems projected by the people  For staff shortage in schools and demand for sheep husbandry centre was taken up with concerned authorities.On the occasion, Pathania vouched for basic living facilities like water supply, electricity, road connectivity issues.

While interacting with the people, she said that the whole exercise is in accordance with the party principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas objective”. Rather it is a sincere attempt to have direct interaction with the masses and provide best possible solutions to their day to day administrative and development issues.

She called it a sincere attempt to lessen the gap between administration and people. We should ensure that genuine issues of people are redressed in an efficacious way.

Prominent among those who were present included Mool Raj Ji DDC Ramnagar -I Captain Vijay Singh Sarpanch Pinger, Subhash Chander Basotra Sarpanch Kogermarh, Sunil Kumar Sarpanch Kagote B, Sanjay Pujari, Jagdish Sharma, Mangat Ram, Darshan Singh, Madan La, Sat Pal, Madan Lal and other PRIs and respect about members of the area.
