Vibodh Gupta Highlights 11 Years of Progress Under Modi Government

J&K’s Infrastructure Revolutionized Under Modi’s Leadership: Vibodh

Jammu, 10 June 2025: Marking 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, senior BJP leader and BJP J&K general secretary Vibodh Gupta today praised the Centre’s relentless push towards inclusive growth, national development, and upliftment of marginalized communities. Addressing a press conference at the BJP office in Kachi Chawni alongside BJP MLA, Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi and District President Jammu Rajesh Gupta, he emphasized that India’s development under PM Modi has not just been about statistics—but about real, transformative change in the lives of ordinary citizens.

“Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has seen a monumental rise on the global stage,” Vibodh stated. “From being the 10th largest economy in 2014 to now standing at the brink of becoming the fourth largest as per the IMF’s latest projections—this is the story of a nation re-emerging with confidence.”

On the topic of poverty eradication, Vibodh highlighted the tangible outcomes of key central schemes.

“Today, over 25 crore Indians have been liberated from the shackles of poverty. This isn’t just a figure—it reflects a silent revolution powered by Jan Dhan bank accounts that bring financial inclusion, gas connections under Ujjwala Yojana that ensure clean cooking fuel for rural households, and health coverage under Ayushman Bharat, which has been a game-changer for the poor,” he explained.

Vibodh underlined the Modi government’s targeted welfare initiatives for SC, ST, OBC, and women, noting that these efforts have been a pillar of the BJP’s governance model.

“Whether it is the empowerment of tribal communities through the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana, scholarships for OBC students under the National Fellowship Scheme, or the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Cards- this government has gone beyond tokenism. We’ve ensured that every section of society moves forward together,” he said.

Vibodh also pointed out the significant efforts have been made in promoting women-led development. “From boosting Self-Help Groups to creating thousands of ‘Lakhpati Didis’ who now earn sustainable livelihoods in rural areas—this is about changing the narrative. Women today are not just participants but leaders in sectors ranging from agriculture to science and space,” he added.

Vibodh concluded by saying that Jammu and Kashmir, under the current leadership, has also witnessed substantial infrastructural and economic development, aligning with the larger national vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.

Yudhvir Sethi while speaking at the press conference emphasized the significant transformation witnessed at the grassroots level in Jammu. “The last 11 years have seen historic infrastructural development in Jammu and Kashmir with improved roads, enhanced civic amenities, and better healthcare and educational facilities,” he said.

Sethi also credited the Modi government’s digital push for enhancing transparency and citizen services, enabling even the remotest households to benefit from government schemes without middlemen.
