Ven Monks of Diskit Monastery call on LG Brig BD Mishra

LEH, 4 May 2023: The delegation comprising Ven Monks of Diskit Monastery, accompanied by the Deputy Chairperson LAHDC Leh called on LG Brig (Dr) BD Mishra on Thursday.

They requested support in carrying out necessary renovation works at the monastery which is one of the major tourist attractions of Nubra.

They also apprised LG Mishra of the planned visit of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama to Nubra this summer.

LG Mishra directed Secretary Tourism to visit the monastery to have a firsthand assessment of the requirements on the site.
