UT Foundation Day celebrated in health institutions across Jammu Division

JAMMU, October 31: The Foundation Day of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory was today celebrated in Health Institutions and offices across Jammu division as per the plan discussed by the Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education, J&K Bhupinder Kumar with all stakeholders including Director Health Services Jammu, Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of all districts. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and active participation of all health employees led by Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma.

The celebration started with illumination of Health institutions on the eve of UT foundation day. Unity Day Pledge was taken in every health institution and office by all staff. CHC and HWCs Melas under Ayushman Bhav campaign were also organized across Jammu division where needy patients especially those belonging to far flung areas were benefited by specialized services. Intensified cleanliness drives were conducted for a clean environment, clean toilets, and proper disposal of e-waste and to achieve the target of junk free health institutions. The hard working and sincere employees of the department were felicitated for their commendable services to the public. On UT Foundation Day, Selfies were taken by the staff.

The day is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, birthday of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who is known as Iron Man of India for his contributions in unification of India. On this day, we celebrate the strength and unity of our Nation and look forward to many more years of accomplishing great things together. The UT foundation day is an opportunity to celebrate the strides UT of Jammu and Kashmir has made in these years. The essence of this day was palpable with the enthusiasm expressed by the public participation in these endeavours and the progress achieved in all the fields.
