Udhampur: Training imparted to FSTs, SST teams ahead of Lok Sabha Election 2024

  UDHAMPUR, MARCH 16: A comprehensive training program for Flying Squad Teams (FSTs) and Statics Surveillance Teams (SSTs) was organised under the guidance of District Election Officer Udhampur, Saloni Rai here today in the run up to Lok Sabha Elections 2024.          

The event took place in the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex in presence of Senior Superintendent of Police, Joginder Singh, Deputy District Election Officer, Dr. Anirudh Rai, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Umesh Shan, Additional SP Baljit Singh, and other dignitaries graced the occasion.

The discussions centered on the role of FSTs/SSTs for ensuring the integrity of elections, adherence to the Model Code of Conduct, and robust expenditure monitoring. During the training session, District level master trainers also provided hands-on instruction to the Flying Squad Teams and Static Surveillance Teams on the functionalities of the cVigil App and the Election Expenditure Monitoring System.

The SSP and ADC emphasised the importance of active participation of the trainees to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the electoral process. They urged all officers to foster close coordination to ensure the successful execution of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in the District.    

Furthermore, they stressed the significance of trainees’ engagement with the training programs and adherence to election protocols, emphasizing both the do’s and don’ts during the electoral process.
