‘Tiranga Rally’ held in Udhampur to commend Armed Forces’ victory in Operation ‘Sindoor’
Udhampur, 16 May 2025: A grand “Tiranga Rally” was organized in Udhampur by ‘Citizens for National Security’ to express solidarity with the nation and the armed forces, and to commend the decisive victory in Operation Sindoor, a mission launched by Indian security forces in retaliation to the vicious martyrdom of 26 innocent civilians in Pahalgam by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists after identifying them as Hindus.

The rally witnessed an overwhelming turnout of patriotic citizens, political leaders, religious figures, ex-servicemen, and youth. The event commenced with a solemn homage at the Shaheed Smarak, paying respects to the martyred soldiers. From there, the rally proceeded on foot, covering key locations including Town Hall, Gole Market, Ramnagar Chowk, Salathia Chowk, and finally culminated at Police Martyr Chowk, Domail.
Prominent leaders who participated included Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA, R.S. Pathania, MLA, Sunil Bhardwaj, MA, Arun Gupta, BJP District President and others.
Others in attendance included dignitaries including religious leaders, retired defense personnel, NCC cadets, and enthusiastic citizens.
The streets resonated with powerful slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram, Indian Army Zindabad, and Indian Armed Forces Zindabad, while the crowd danced energetically to patriotic tunes. The atmosphere was charged with national pride and emotional unity.
Vikram Randhawa, while addressing the rally, said, “From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the entire nation stands united and proud of our brave soldiers. The barbaric attack on innocent civilians in Pahalgam deserved a strong response and our forces gave a befitting reply by destroying terrorist bases across the border. This rally is an honor to their courage.”
Balwant Singh Mankotia expressed pride on the Indian Armed Forces, who have given a befitting reply to the terrorists and their feeders from across the borders by taking bold and decisive action under ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Pawan Gupta said that the whole nation salutes the courage, determination and patriotism of our brave soldiers.
RS Pathania said that India has given a strong message to the enemy forces that our brave forces have full capacity to thrash any plan to attack the nation’s peace.
Sunil Bhardwaj said that every Indian has an affinity for peace but not at the cost of lives of its civilians.
The rally concluded peacefully at Police Martyr Chowk, with renewed calls for unity and national resolve.
