Thousands of poor children alloted CUET centres outside J&K – Congress

Party seeks immediate intervention of centre, LG  Manoj Sinha

Jammu, June 7- Congress party has hit out the National Testing Agency( NTA) which  has betrayed the candidates for CUET by allotting exam centres outside J&K which has put the poor parents to great hardships and large numbers would not be able to sit in the examination.

Reacting Strongly to the allotments of examination centres to the candidates outside Jammu and Kashmir, against the public  commitment by NTA to allot centres locally, jk Congress has lashed out at the NTA and the centre government & LG administration for the hardships being faced by Jammu children and their parents.

Thousands of children and their parents are on tenterhooks especially in Jammu region who have been alloted centres in Punjab and other states. It will deprive large number of poor students to drop out and would not persue graduate level studies.

The BJP government made the Jammu university and Kashmir university to voluntarily join  CUET, which was meant for 44 central universities and other universities to participate. BJP wanted outside students to come and study in Jammu at the cost of local students. No body would go to Kashmir in the situation and Jammu children shall be at loss.

Atleast the Modi government could have asked NTA to allot local centres to J &K aspirants, as those from remote areas would miss the deadline to reach, said JKPCC Chief spokesperson demanding immediate intervention of Centre & LG Manoj Sinha.
